Sound familiar?

Bedtime shouldn't be a negotiation.

If your evenings end in the same standoff and your mornings start before the sun, it's not you. Small children genuinely can't tell the time. They just need a clearer signal.

The 5am start

They're up, you're up, and it's still dark. Every day.

The bedtime stall

One more story, one more drink, one more reason not to settle.

Another screen

You don't want a glowing tablet in the room doing the job.

How it works

Four colours. One clear night.

Kip glows a different colour for each part of the night, so your child always knows where they are without a word from you. The light fades gently between phases, never a sudden switch.

Settle

Purple means bath, story and calm. Bed is coming.

Sleep

A warm glow that says stay in bed and close your eyes.

Wait

Yellow means morning's close. Rest quietly a little longer.

Wake

Blue means good morning — it's okay to get up now.

Up and running in minutes

Set it once, then forget it.

1

Set your times

Tell Kip when sleep starts and when morning begins. Two minutes, one time.

2

Pop it in the room

On a shelf they can see from bed but can't reach. That's the whole install.

3

Let the colours do the work

Kip takes over the “is it morning yet?” question, so you don't have to.

Why parents pick Zeepy

Everything you'd want, nothing you wouldn't.

No blue light at night

A warm amber glow that won't interfere with sleep, unlike a phone or tablet.

Fewer early mornings

The blue “okay to get up” light gives you back those precious extra minutes.

Completely screen-free

A gentle colour cue in the room, not another device to manage or charge nightly.

Child-lock built in

Lock the buttons so little hands can't undo your settings mid-night.

Grows with your child

Baby night light, toddler trainer, then kids' alarm — one clock, three stages.

A companion app

The free Zeepy app has stories, meditations and sleep sounds for each phase, to play alongside the clock.

Why the light colour at night actually matters.

Most sleep clocks use blue light. The science says that's the wrong choice. Blue light suppresses melatonin — the hormone that tells your child's body it's time to sleep. It's great in the morning. It's actively unhelpful at night.

Zeepy — overnight

Warm amber glow

  • Supports melatonin production
  • Warm wavelength — sleep-friendly
  • Helps child stay asleep
  • Blue light reserved for morning wake only

Science says:

"Amber and warm light wavelengths have minimal impact on melatonin — supporting the body's natural sleep onset."

Gro Clock — overnight

Blue light display

  • Blue light suppresses melatonin
  • Short wavelength — signals alertness
  • Can disrupt sleep onset and depth
  • Two phases only (sleep / wake)

The research shows:

"Blue light exposure in the evening can delay melatonin onset by up to 90 minutes, shifting the body's sleep window."

Before you ask

Common questions

What age is the Zeepy clock for?

It works best from around two to six — the ages when children can follow a colour but can't yet read a clock. Younger babies get a warm night light; older kids get a gentle alarm.

Does it use blue light at night?

No. The night light is a warm amber on purpose, so it comforts without the blue-white glow that keeps little brains awake.

Does it need to be plugged in all the time?

No. It charges over USB-C in about three hours and runs off its battery, though it works happily while plugged in too.

Does it have an alarm?

There's an optional gentle morning tone you can switch on or off. It's off by default — most families just use the wake colour.

How is it different from the Gro Clock?

Four phases instead of two, a warm amber night light instead of blue, USB-C charging, a child-lock, and there's a free companion app with stories and sleep sounds.

Do I need the app to use it?

Not at all. The clock does its job entirely on its own. The free app just adds stories, meditations and sounds if you want them.

Steadier nights start this week.

Great chold nightie clock

Great little clock. It has a digital display you set up bedtime and morning wake up time quite easily. In bed it is yellow, awake time is blue. A bit hit and miss with my little one but that is no reflection on the clock. Soft plastic case, so no worry about breakages if it falls off the bedside cabinet.

Great clock for kids

This has worked well for us. Very easy to set up and follow instructions. The change of colour is clear enough for the children to see but not too bright for it to stay on through the night. (Although blue is day and yellow is night which seemed confusing at first!) Needs charging every few nights but the battery life seems to last well.

Great clock

Honestly the best thing I ever bought, obviously it won't work for all toddlers but my boy has really taken to it, he doesn't get out of the bed till the cat wakes its changed our lives!Easy to set up, durable.

Good little clock

Was a bit tricky to set up but once done it’s a nice little clock and encourages my granddaughter to sleep to the correct time because of the colour changes

Great for sleep training 3 year old

Its easy to set up and use.We use it to train our 3 year old and teach her about time esp in summer. It took a few days but she's really excited to go to bed (and just as excited to get up when the colour changes)My only confusion is the colour choice... shouldn't blue be night time and orange be day time..

Prolongs Sleep Time

This is amazing, so easy to set up and battery life is good in it. Works a charm and has really improved our little ones sleep. She comes in in the morning telling us it’s blue and the cats awake and it’s wakey time. Would definitely recommend.

Well worth buying

I bought this recently for my 2 year old who due to the lighter mornings was getting up earlier than usual. I like the fact it's a yellow light at night and then changes to blue when it's time for her to get up. I found it very easy to set up with the instructions provided. The light has 7 different brightness settings. You set the time you want the light to go orange for bed and then set the time you would like it to change to blue for the mornings. I don't think it helps her sleep in any way it just makes her aware of the time if she wakes up in the night and she knows if its yellow she goes back to sleep. She now loves coming in to me in the mornings to show me that her clock is blue. It seems very durable and it comes with a USB lead to charge up.

Appears to be doing what it's supposed to

Bought this as a present for my granddaughter who constantly gets up at 5/5:30. Appears to be helping to get her to stay in bed until later

Great little sleep clock

Quality better than expected. We bought this to replace an older model of the gro clock which suddenly stopped working. The zeepy one is better in my opinion. It's easy to set, slightly more compact in size and the tough case is great as our son likes to carry it around in the mornings. I like that they have thought about the colour of the light (blue for day, yellow for night), it does take a bit of getting used to if transitioning from another clock that uses blue for night but our son picked this up pretty quickly after a few uses. Battery seems to last pretty well if you use it on a medium to low brightness level.

Great for toddler

My kid did not sleep no matter how hard we tried. This clock (combined with a month of rewards everyday) did the trick and our daughter sleeps through most nights now. She also runs into our room in the morning to declare with excitement “my catty’s awake” - very cute! Not too bright at night and this is also adjustable.Only thing I don’t like is it doesn’t give much warning about the battery being low.

Good quality and nice concept.

Where to start...The item is of good quality and my 3 year old does understand the concept well *but* as a sleep trainer this has had little to no effect on his sleep schedule and he's still waking up at all hours. I appreciate this isn't the fault of the product and that some kids are just not good at sleeping. The product does have a really good battery life which I thought was worth noting.Given 4 stars for the concept and quality and would be 5 if the child actually slept. We'll probably try again with our 1 year old when they are a bit older to compare and fingers crossed this one might sleep better.

Sleep clock

I initially bought the Tommee Tippee clock but that has a lead and seems more fragile. It is really easy to set up and the charge lasts a long time. Good to have the lock on it as my 2 year old Grandson pushes the buttons!

Kids love these - have got both the cat and the sloth. Absolute gamechanger for bedtimes and that morning lie-in.

Brilliant Alarm Clock for Little Ones

Very impressed with this little clock, clearly designed by by and for parents. The coloured face illumination give sleep training cues for when it's time to be awake or asleep and can be adjusted for brightness. The colours have been sensibly chosen not to emit blue light at bedtime. There's three different modes ranging from very basic (just colour changing) to a full alarm clock with current time display and a face that is either asleep or awake that will teach them about telling the time too. Battery lasts almost a month for us on medium brightness and audible alarm every day. The clock unit is smaller and more solid than you might imagine but the digits are a good size for readability and it feels like it will be quite resilient with it's thick silicon cover. You can lock the controls once set to stop little hands (who will 100% pick it up) making unwanted adjustments. Our daughter loves it!

Works very well

This has worked so well for my 3 year old son. He stays in bed until the car wakes up, which has been a good send. Well worth the money.

Fantastic

My daughter is obsessed with her clock, it has helped us no end with early wakes & she sleeps with it in her cot. The battery has lasted for 2 months without charging on the dimmest setting. Don’t hestitate, just buy one!

Sometimes works

For sleep training.. most mornings my daughter will bring the cat clock in to show me “it’s still sleeping mummy”.. maybe she’ll twig eventually. I like the design, feels nice and easy to use.

Saved my sanity!

My little girls liked to try and get up at 5am which wasn’t working for me haha. We got this clock and it’s been an actual game changer! We usually leave it plugged in but the battery lasts a few days which is good! It’s smaller than I expected- it fits in the palm of my hand. It feels pretty solid with a rubber casing so I’m not worried about any accidental drops. The colours of the clock face seem the wrong way round (blue = awake/yellow = sleep) but that doesn’t make any difference to its usage. Overall, it’s worth it’s weight in gold to us and total value for money as it means they stay in bed until ‘Kit’ wakes up which is 7am on weekdays and 8:30am on weekends (just remember to change it on Friday evening for a sleep in!)

Effective

My 3yo tries to stall bedtime every night but this has helped him understand when it’s time to settle down. He loves cats so understands that when Catty has gone to sleep (turned yellow) it’s his turn too. Very easy to set up, we have 7pm bed time, 6am wake up

Battery seems to last an eternity and it's much easier to use than the gro clock which I gave up on. My child genuinely seems to like the clock too.

Brilliant. It worked!

My daughter was an excellent sleeper, then suddenly we were struggling to get her into bed without a fuss, and was getting up far too early in the morning. This has changed everything! She's too young to tell the time, but the colour function works fantastically to give her a visual cue of when it is night time and should be in her room, and when it is okay to get up. She obeys her little cat religiously. It was easy to set up. The brightness can be adjusted and a very important feature- the buttons and functions can be locked to stop her changing any settings. When she's older she can use it to tell the time and it also has an alarm setting.Great buy!

Great clock

Bought this for my 2.5 year old, she loves it. She understands the colour changes and if it’s still blue she will say not sleepy time yet.. Really good to teach about time of day etc and also for a little light in their room.
