This Privacy Policy explains how Zeepy Ltd ("Zeepy", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with the Zeepy: Kids Bedtime Routine mobile application (the "App").

This policy covers the App only. Our website and online store at zeepy.co are governed by a separate privacy policy available at zeepy.co/policies/privacy-policy.

Who this app is for

Zeepy is a bedtime routine app designed to be set up and controlled by a parent or guardian on behalf of a child aged 3–8. Accounts are created and managed by an adult. The App plays audio content (stories, music, and meditations) for children, but it is not designed for children to register, make purchases, or manage settings themselves.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All account information is provided by the adult who sets up and operates the App.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information. When you create a Zeepy account, we collect your email address and a password. Authentication is handled by our identity provider.
  • Subscription information. If you subscribe to Zeepy Sleep Club, your purchase is processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status (active, expired, trial) through our subscription management provider. We do not receive or store your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Apple.
  • Communications. If you contact us for support, we collect the information you choose to include in your message.

Information collected automatically

  • App usage and playback data. To operate the routine and remember where a child is in their night, the App processes information such as which content is played and routine settings you have configured.
  • Technical information. We may collect basic device and diagnostic information (such as device type, operating system version, and app version) to keep the App running reliably.
  • Analytics and crash reporting. The App does not currently use third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools. We may introduce such tools in future to help us understand how the App is used and to improve its reliability. If we do, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe what they collect before they are used.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.
  • We do not use third-party advertising trackers inside the App.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Create and manage your account and provide access to the App;
  • Deliver the bedtime routine and audio content, including your free samples and, for subscribers, the full Sleep Club library;
  • Process and validate your subscription and free trial through Apple and our subscription management provider;
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
  • Keep the App secure, diagnose problems, and improve reliability;
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

Where required by law, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (providing the App and your subscription), our legitimate interests (keeping the App secure and functional), your consent (where applicable, such as optional analytics), and compliance with legal obligations.

Audio content

Audio content in the App is delivered from our audio hosting provider. Streaming or downloading content involves your device connecting to that service to retrieve audio files. This connection is used to deliver content and is not used to build an advertising profile of you or your child.

Third parties we work with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the App, and only as needed to provide the service:

  • Apple — processes subscription payments and manages in-app purchases.
  • Our authentication provider — manages account sign-in and identity.
  • Our subscription management provider — manages and validates subscription entitlements.
  • Our cloud infrastructure provider — hosts our backend infrastructure and data.
  • Our audio hosting provider — hosts and delivers audio content.

Each provider processes information in accordance with its own privacy terms. We do not permit these providers to use your information for their own advertising purposes. If we introduce analytics or crash-reporting tools in future, we will add them to this list.

Children's data

Zeepy is committed to protecting children's privacy.

  • Accounts are created and operated by adults, not children.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child.
  • We do not use behavioural advertising or sell or share any data relating to a child.
  • If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, or you wish to review or delete any information associated with your account, please contact us using the details below.

We design the App in line with applicable children's privacy requirements, including the UK Age Appropriate Design Code and, for users in the United States, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Account deletion

You can delete your Zeepy account and its associated personal information at any time from within the App, in the account settings. Deleting your account removes your account information from our systems, subject to any data we are required to retain for legal or accounting reasons (for example, records of transactions).

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription purchased through Apple. To cancel a subscription, manage it in your Apple ID subscription settings.

How we protect your information

We take the security of your information seriously and use industry-standard measures to protect it. Personal information is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2 or higher) and encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Account passwords are never stored in plain text. The third-party providers we rely on for account management and subscriptions maintain recognised security certifications, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential; if you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. After you delete your account, we remove your personal information except where we are required to retain certain records to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at dreamteam@zeepy.co. We will respond as required by applicable law.

If you are in the UK or EU and are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

International transfers

We may process and store your information in countries outside the one you live in, including the United States, where our service providers operate. Where we transfer personal information out of the UK or EU, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
