My 4,5 years old son loves it, his little brothers tags along and love following the colour codes for bedtime. Happy to go upstairs when the cat is sleepy :)
My 4 year old has adapted really well to this clock compared to the owl she previously had. She’s found the colours really easy to follow for her routine and takes great excitement coming through to tell when it’s time to get up. Functionally and design are both better than the owl which I found really confusing. Most importantly, the light can be dimmed right down to a very low level.
My son loves this clock. Every morning when my husband or I go into him we say hello to Mr Sloth and every evening when we go into the room we say "sssh Mr Sloth is sleeping so it's time for our sleep too". He loves going up to the clock and looking at the sloth's face, pointing out the eyes and the nose. He's beginning to understand what the colours mean and if he wakes in the night and we show him Mr Sloth is still sleeping, generally we have had less arguments about him going back to sleep. So far, really pleased with the purchase and how engaged my son is with it
A month in it seems to be going well. It seems pretty robust and has a soft silicone shell. Our 2.5 year old understood the concept and it has really supported our move from the cot to a full sized bed. She knows that she needs to stay in bed until the clock turns blue, and then in the morning i hear her feet pattering and her shouting breathlessly "the cat turned blue" as she comes to get us. The clock would be improved to 5 stars by two changes 1) a battery percentage/low battery indicator BEFORE it stops backlighting the clock and 2) the ability to set sleep and wakeup times for afternoon naps - i have to fudge it by changing the main clock time otherwise it won't allow us to input a say 1pm to 3pm nap, which is an annoying friction for a sleep deprived parent.
I genuinely love this clock with all my heart. My 3 year old has always been a bit of a nightmare with sleeping and this clock has had such an impact on getting her into bed and calm at night time! She looks forward to seeing her clock turn pink and knows that means we are reading and cuddling quietly. After a couple of weeks she is mostly asleep before it turns orange. Bedtimes have turned from a 1.5/2hour struggle into a pleasant routine! Thankyou so much
If I had one niggle- it would be great to be able to childlock the buttons on the back. She loves the clock so much she likes to walk around with it and sometimes undoes all the settings by knocking the buttons on the back. But it's not too difficult to reset things.
Overall- absolutely excellent and would 1000% recommend
